Walk or ruck, with or without weight. Complete as many or as few laps as you prefer. The choice is yours!
Active-duty military, veterans, Gold Star families, and civilians are all welcome to attend this event. We also have an honorary division for those who do not wish to compete. Regardless of physical ability, we encourage everyone to participate and carry the fallen with them on the course.
Imagine if a ruck march, a cycling time trial (without the bike), and a tailgate had a baby. You'd have RWR! LOL.
Join us for a one-of-a-kind competition organized by a USMC mom and the founder of Memories of Honor to honor our fallen service members and their families while promoting camaraderie within the community. The RWR competition follows a criterium-style format with a time-trial timing system. Participants run or ruck on foot while carrying weighted packs or vests, completing multiple laps on a short course. Are you ready to step up and show the world just how tough you truly are?
Getting to the venue: 6430 Padre Drive - Pavillion #2
The course is an out and back -- do as many laps as possible within the 3-hour time-limit.
We create living memorials to honor those lost in or due to service so their legacy will live on for generations. We strive to provide meaningful experiences for the bereaved and an opportunity for the community to pay their respects and learn from these stories of courage, service, and sacrifice.
